Tasha obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Sports Science with a minor in Biology from North Carolina University in 2008 and a Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from Towson University in 2012. Tasha has worked as an OT at the VA Medical Center in Baltimore, MD providing Occupational Therapy and mental health services to veterans suffering from severe and persistent mental illness. Additionally, she has also worked as an OT in outpatient pediatrics in Georgia, inpatient acute care at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital in Baltimore, MD and serviced children with special needs in Hawaii prior to her employment with Building Bridges. Tasha has provided Occupational Therapy services with an emphasis on intensive care, neurology, orthopedics, surgical, NICU, and burns. She has extensive experience working with the Pediatric population, treating patients with a range of diagnoses including Autism, Down Syndrome, developmental delays, and chromosomal abnormalities. Tasha has continued to improve her clinical skills by attending courses related to Feeding, Handwriting, Fine Motor skills, behavior and Kinesiology Taping. Outside of work Tasha enjoys spending time with friends and family, DIY projects, attending festivals, the arts, snowboarding, watersports and traveling the world.
